Teresa obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Honours in Psychology and Concentration in Political Science) Magna Cum Laude in 2005. From 2001 to 2007, she held several different positions with the House of Commons and the Library of Parliament.
She graduated from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 2009, having completed her law degree in the French Common Law section. She completed her articles by serving as a judicial law clerk at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Ottawa and was called to the bar in 2010.
Teresa practices in the areas of family law, residential real estate, wills and estate planning, estate administration, municipal law, civil litigation, and criminal law.
She is a panel member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and occasionally acts as a per diem Crown at the Provincial Offenses Court in Perth. She has served as secretary to the County of Lanark Law Association since 2010 and sits on various court-related committees. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Carleton Place and Mississippi Mills.
Before moving to Ottawa for university, Teresa was raised in Alberta and completed high school in the small town of Rossland, British Columbia. She joined the firm in 2010 and became a partner in 2018. She currently resides in Carleton Place with her husband, Alexandre, and their busy young children.
