Stephanie Simard (Associate)

Stephanie is a graduate of the National Law Program at the University of Ottawa,  having obtained both her Civil Law degree (LL.L) and Common Law degree (LL.B) in 2009.  She was thereafter called to the bar in 2010 after which she has gained extensive experience in court and tribunals representing individuals, corporations, institutions and professionals.

Stephanie practices in the areas of civil litigation (with a specialization in construction litigation and mortgage enforcement matters), family law and residential real estate. She services clients in both official languages, English and French. She is known for her personable, result-oriented and “hands on” approach with clients and their files, ensuring that their needs and concerns are fully addressed, while achieving the best results possible.

As a real estate lawyer, she assists clients (individuals and institutions) with refinances, private mortgages and loans, purchases and sales of homes, ensuring that clients have a positive experience.  As a family lawyer, she represent clients pertaining to their divorce, separation, custody/access, child and spousal support, property issues and also assist clients in negotiating and drafting cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts and separation agreements. As a civil litigation lawyer, Stephanie represents clients in a wide range of civil matters, which includes but is not limited to construction and mortgage enforcement matters.  

Stephanie has appeared in matters before various courts and tribunals including the Court of Appeal for Ontario, Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada

Stephanie is also the head of the real estate committee of the County of Lanark Law Association.  She also currently sits on various Boards in the community.
